Imagine the joy of receiving a one-of-a-kind original painting made especially for you.
A painting that was inspired, in part, by your own unique ideas.
Imagine walking into your space knowing that nobody else in the entire world has that same work of art hanging on their wall. Not even in print form.
Though I offer nearly all of my paintings as printed reproductions, your commissioned original will never be turned into a print.
That means it’s yours and yours alone, never to be replicated.
How does it work?
The process is easy and 100% risk free!
Step 1:
Share a few details about what you're looking for.
Maybe you have a subject matter or color palette you have in mind or a specific space you are looking to fill.
Perhaps you want something inspired by one of my previous paintings.
Or maybe you simply know that you want your very own one-of-a-kind work of art by me, Amanda Webster.
Though I do not accept all subject matters or color palettes, I’d love to hear your ideas.
Step 2:
Secure your spot on the waitlist with a 10% FULLY REFUNDABLE deposit.
Step 3:
Once your turn arrives, I'll reach out to confirm the details of your painting and I'll start painting!
This process can take up to 4-6 weeks.
Step 4:
I'll present you with the finished painting and you'll have the opportunity to accept or pass.
If you accept the painting, I'll invoice you for the remaining balance.
If you pass on the painting, I will refund your deposit and offer the painting for sale to my collector base.
Step 5:
Once the balance is paid, your new painting will arrive at your door within two weeks!
Final Step:
Begin your new life with a painting that will bring you happiness for years to come!
F.A.Q.
What does the fully refundable deposit mean?
It means I want everyone to be satisfied with the process.
Art is very personal and subjective for both the collector and the artist.
Although I accept ideas and suggestions, the creative process is full of surprises.
The fully refundable deposit allows me to have full creative freedom to follow the painting wherever it takes me.
For example, you may want a 36”x72” painting inspired by one of your favorite places in the style of one of my previous paintings.
The fully refundable deposit allows me to take this idea and run with it and listen and respond to the painting as it evolves.
The result is a delightful surprise for both of us.
Because this process is entirely surprising, the fully refundable deposit guarantees that you only need to commit if you truly love the work of art.
Do you send sketches beforehand?
I do not send sketches or concept art.
I find that once a client sees a sketch, it's hard to unsee the sketch once the painting is complete, especially if the creative process has resulted in significant changes to the original idea.
Can I ask for revisions?
I do not accept revisions. Once I complete the painting, you may accept or pass.
The finished painting will be a surprise, but will be recognizable as my art and within the style of all my other work.
How many commissions do you accept?
I take a limited number of commissions per year. Currently I'm scheduling for spring/summer of 2023.
How much does it cost to commission a painting?
Currently commissions are priced at $2.50 per square inch starting at $3240 with a minimum size of 36”x36”.
*This price will increase as demand increases, however, your price will be locked in at whatever the current pricing is when you submit your deposit.
What if I change my mind?
The deposit is refundable at any time, no questions asked. A refund forfeits your spot on the waitlist.
How will I get my painting?
Shipping is free for unframed art in the contiguous US. If you need international or express shipping options or are interested in framing, I’ll provide a shipping quote before I begin your commission.
If you live within 20 miles of the Twin Cities in Minnesota, I will hand deliver your original commissioned painting even if it's framed.
Can I get a replica of another painting?
I do not replicate previous paintings though I may take inspiration from the colors, subject, or composition of another previous painting.
What size painting can I commission?
The sky is the limit! Sort of.
I love working large, but for now my space restricts me to a maximum size of 72”x72”. However, if you have something larger in mind, please reach out and we can see if something can be arranged.
I require a minimum size of 36"x36"
Does my commissioned painting come with a frame?
All of my paintings are ready-to-hang with finished edges that make framing entirely optional (though they do look best in a frame, in my opinion).
If you are interested in adding a frame to your order, let me know.
I work with a fantastic framing partner in the Twin Cities and can offer a quote.
Please note that framed art can not be shipped for free, but if you're local, I can hand deliver your original framed painting for free anywhere within 20 miles of the Twin Cities.
